Or you hold it up while charging the sword in the background with attack Type B.Īlso, I gotta stick up for raocow in the "not explore base" department: I did a Zero 1 LP back in the day and wanted to be super thorough, but I know from myself that NOBODY watches the base exploration, talk to everyone videos because they're critically boring. If you're really awesome, you can use the shield to reflect those few bullets that are tough to dodge on every path (most of them are just set dressing if you don't jump into them), charge it up during that block, and release for mega damage as the worm goes back down. Not that I'm sure how helpful it would be offensively, but it seems like you could get some use out of it against that miniboss. For example, in this stage the chutes that drop enemies onto the conveyor belts are red, making them stand out more, and the levers also stand out more, making it more obvious that they're levers.Īs usual, raocow doesn't even for a moment consider using the shield as a solution when he's getting hit by bullets repeatedly. While this may seem like just an aesthetic thing, I actually realized while watching raocow that it can make things a bit clearer. While some people are saying to use it, I'd actually vote against using it, if only to see what the stages actually look like instead of having this green palette everywhere. Since everyone's talking about cyberspace, I figure I'll talk about it a bit. It won't really affect me this time around since I'll be going for at least 96 points in every stage, but the first time I played this game I was willing to let my score drop below that on some stages as long as my average was enough for an S rank. While I'm talking about points, I really like that you can actually see your average in this game. Fortunately it only took me a few tries to kill him fast enough for max time points. The boss here is pretty easy, though for me he really liked to teleport spam and just waste a bunch of time. I wound up being really bad at timing it most of the time, but fortunately the bees didn't really fly in my face on my successful run. Instead, I tried to time my charged slashes just when the hive opened up. Though for all my advocating attack mode type B, I didn't think to use the recoil rod on the bees, though that's mostly because I didn't think it would reach. Then there's the beehive mid boss, which can be annoying. The junk pits that you sink in slow you down if you fall in them. Seriously though, I don't mind that much if raocow keeps using attack mode type C, but I'll always advocate that type B is the best.Īnyway, this stage isn't too difficult, except I found the time required to get max points was rather tight, especially with a bunch of things that can waste your time. If only there was a way to charge one weapon while attacking with the other. Raocow while trying out firing the charged recoil rod downward: "it's kind of unfortunate that you need to charge it"
